What is Geriatric Therapy?

Geriatric therapy is a specialist branch of physiotherapy dedicated to maintaining and improving the physical function, independence, and quality of life of older adults. As we age, muscle strength, balance, and coordination naturally decline — increasing the risk of falls, reduced mobility, and loss of independence. Through tailored exercise programmes, hands-on therapy, and careful guidance, I help older adults stay active, confident, and safe in their own home.

Who is it For?

Fall Prevention

Targeted balance and strength training to significantly reduce fall risk and build confidence when moving at home.

Reduced Mobility & Balance

Restoring functional movement, gait quality, and coordination for everyday activities like walking, climbing stairs, and getting up.

Post-Hospitalisation Recovery

Rebuilding strength and function after a hospital stay, illness, or period of prolonged bed rest.

Arthritis & Joint Pain

Managing pain, stiffness, and functional limitations caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or age-related joint wear.

Neurological Conditions

Supportive therapy for Parkinson's disease, stroke recovery, and other neurological conditions affecting movement and stability.

General Deconditioning

Reversing the effects of inactivity, muscle loss, and fatigue to restore energy, strength, and everyday function.
